THE HOLY SPIRIT
Fellowship with the Holy Spirit
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
God is three in one: The Father, the Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit has his own will and personality.
The Testimony of the Holy Spirit in the World
But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
The Holy Spirit convinces people that they need to get saved.
And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
The Work of the Holy Spirit
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
When we receive Jesus, the Holy Spirit recreates us by the new birth and enters into our hearts to help us in life.
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
The Holy Spirit teaches us and helps us to remember what the Word says. He also helps us to pray correctly, leads us, and helps us to make wise decisions according to the Word of God. The witness of God is perceived as peace and joy in the heart.
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God... Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
The Baptism in the Holy SpiritMat 3:11”I (John the Baptist) indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me (Jesus) is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:”
Jesus came to save us and to baptize us in the Holy Spirit. All the disciples were baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit.
And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
How to Receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit
If ye then, being evil (imperfect), know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
We receive the baptism in the Holy Spirit by prayer or by laying on of hands. The evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit is speaking with other tongues. It is good to speak and pray in tongues every day.
For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
The Manifestations of the Holy Spirit2Co 3:17”Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
In the presence of the Holy Spirit there is freedom, and it happens that people shout, starts to laugh, jumps, runs, or fall to the floor under the power of God. The Holy Spirit also manifests through His gifts in words or actions to bless the people.
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.
If your disciple has not yet received the baptism of the Holy Spirit, you can use this prayer with laying on of hands. Instruct the disciple to open the mouth and give voice to the words and sounds that come up from the heart, even without understanding what it means. Teach your disciple how to minister to others to be filled by the Holy Spirit. In the meetings of the church, the ministers will also pray for people to get baptized in the Holy Spirit.
The Prayer to Receive the Baptism in the Holy Spirit
“God – in the Name of Jesus.”“I now receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to your promise.”“By faith, I will now speak in other tongues.”“Amen.”
If the disciple does not speak in tongs immediately you can still advance with the next class in “MD”.
